Our Fiji story

Centrecom’s Fiji story began in 2014, when the company set up local operations specifically to support Fiji Airways with back-office services. That first engagement gave us a foothold in the market and proved out the model: a Pacific-based delivery centre with the language, cultural fit and time zone alignment to serve international clients well.

From that single-client start, Centrecom Fiji grew into a full BPO service provider spanning contact centre, back-office and specialised services, now delivered across multiple sites in Nadi, Suva and Lautoka. We’re part of the wider Centrecom Group, which also operates out of Malta and Australia and traces its roots in the airline and aviation industry back to 1989.

FAQ

Good questions, straight answers.

How is staff leasing different from outsourcing?

With outsourcing you buy an outcome and the vendor runs the work. With staff leasing you get dedicated people who work only for you and take direction from your managers, while Centrecom employs them and provides the office, technology and HR support.

Who chooses the team members?

You do. We recruit and screen against your brief, then you interview the shortlist and make every final hiring decision.

What hours will my team work?

Our teams can work 24/7 to support your business requirements, including different shifts and time zones. Fiji also shares the business day with New Zealand and is two hours ahead of Australia’s east coast, so working in step with your own hours is easy.

Can I start with just one person?

Yes. Many clients begin with a single role, prove the model, then grow. Scaling up is simply a matter of adding seats.

What does the monthly fee include?

Everything: the employee’s salary and statutory costs, plus workspace, equipment, connectivity, IT support, payroll, HR and a dedicated account manager.

Do I need a registered company in Fiji to use staff leasing?

Not necessarily. Many foreign businesses use an Employer of Record (EOR) precisely so they don’t have to set up a local entity. With Centrecom as your EOR, we legally employ your team in Fiji and handle payroll, FNPF, FRCS and compliance on your behalf, so you can start hiring quickly without the cost and paperwork of registering a company.

Is there a probation period?

Probation is allowed and is commonly up to 6 months. Terms should be stated in the employment contract.

How does termination work?

Notice depends on the pay cycle or contract, and dismissals must follow a fair process. Centrecom handles terminations and redundancies compliantly, so you’re protected from disputes.

How do I choose a good provider?

Choose one that’s registered, compliant, experienced and transparent. Centrecom is all four, with references and sample contracts available on request.

What is your infrastructure and business continuity plan?

Centrecom operates high-availability infrastructure with redundant power, using UPS systems and backup generators to keep operations running through outages. Geographically separate facilities across Suva, Nadi and Lautoka provide failover capability, so work can shift between sites if one is disrupted. Systems and data are backed up regularly to both onsite and offsite storage. Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans are documented and tested, with defined Recovery Time Objectives (how quickly services are restored) and Recovery Point Objectives (how much data could be lost) that are reviewed regularly.
